Miss Kalisia C-J Findley is a Managing Partner in her firm BROWN, FINDLEY & CO. (Formerly GLORIA BROWN & CO.) She also co-hosts ‘Land Solutions’ with Gloria Brown, is an Arbitrator, a Supreme Court of Jamaica Approved Mediator and is fluent in Spanish. She was admitted to the Jamaican Bar in 2005 having successfully completed her Bachelor of Law Degree and Certificate in Legal Education.
Kalisia possesses extensive knowledge and understanding of the law and in particular Conveyancing and Estate Planning and Settlement. Her other areas of practice include but are not limited to Litigation in the island’s several courts; First Registration of land; Adverse Possession Applications; Matrimonial Proceedings; Complex Negotiations; Commercial Law; Contract preparation; Providing legal opinions on a variety of matters and the Drafting & Registration of Mortgages for financial institutions.
Kalisia has excelled in academia where in addition to her legal qualifications she possesses a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M.) in Dispute Resolution from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) in Spanish and Political Science from the University of the West Indies. She also has numerous hours of training in Mediation and Collaborative Law.
Kalisia is also a trained mentor with Youth Opportunities Unlimited, a teacher at the Sligoville Baptist Church Institute, a volunteer mediator at the Dispute Resolution Foundation of Jamaica and a volunteer Attorney-at-Law at the Bethel Baptist Church Legal Aid Clinic.
